Access Control

Access Control Systems are an outstanding solution for taking control of security of your facility! Key Card Access is by far the most popular form of Access Control, but is not the only form. Access Control also encompasses Card Entry Systems, Biometric Systems, Push Button Locks, Digital Locks, Remote Controls, Electric Strikes, and Magnetic Locks. Our Locksmiths and Technicians are experts in Access Control and the various applications they can support.

Unlike most companies we are expert locksmiths in addition to being expert Access Control Technicians. By being experts in both fields we are able to mesh hardware (locks) with Software (Access Control Systems) much better than a straight Access Control Company. Control Access

Most Access Control Systems come with a wide variety of features that empowers our customers to control access at their facility with much tighter security. Some of the features include; Audit Trail, Custumisable Reports, control of individual cards, control access times, and dates. These systems give our customers true control over the security of their facility!

Card Readers

Card Reader or Card Entry Systems have traditionally come in two forms, a "card swipe" which utilizes a magnetic strip, similar to a credit card and Proximity Card more commonly known as "Prox Card," which uses RFID Technology (Radio Frequency Identification). These Card Entry Systems use their respective cards as "Key Cards" for individuals to use instead of traditional metal cut keys. Management in addition to controlling access within a facility can also control what day and time individual card holders can access certain areas and can log their entries with the audit trail feature. Using Card Entry systems gives management greater control over card holders than the traditional key.

Biometric Locks

The Biometric or “Finger Print” Reader System is ideal for controlling access as well as maintaining an audit trail of who comes and goes. This system totally removes the need for any type of key or card. As long as you have your hand or finger you will be able to gain access.

Push Button Locks

Push Button locks are a good solution for controlling access by use of a combination instead of using keys or cards. The combinations can be changed upon request. We carry both mechanical and electronic versions of Push Button Locks.

Digital Locks

Digital locks are the electromic version of the mechanical lock. They come in a variety of configurations to enclude push button and proximity card. They are very tough, durable and are designed for heavy use. In addition to the lock it self being commercial grade the electronics are also designed for heavy use as well.

Remote Control Locks

Remote Control Locks work similarly to Proximity Locks except you have a key Fob instead of a Prox Card. Some versions are battery powered and can transmit their signal and others utilize RFID (Radio Frequency Identity) Technology.

Electric Strikes

Electric Strikes work in conjunction with access control readers, i.e. card entry, proximity card, key fob, biometric readers, etc. These electric strikes come in a variety of sizes, styles, and functions. Unlike Magnetic Locks, this system will allow for a mechanical over ride or Key Bypass.

Magnetic Locks

Magnetic Locks or “Mag Locks” work in conjunction with an access control readers, i.e. card entry, proximity card, key fob, biometric readers etc. These locks come in a variety of sizes and magnetic strengths.
